Privacy and data protection

SigPhi follows data minimisation: it collects only what is needed to answer and keep the service secure.

Without an account, nothing is stored

There is no advertising and no tracking analytics. If you have no account, SigPhi does not store the text of questions or answers, and does not link telemetry to an IP address or person. The only data tied to your IP address is a counter of chat queries, used to enforce the free monthly limit: it carries no question text and is deleted after two months at most. The only local preference is the light or dark theme stored in your browser.

If you create an account

Registration is voluntary and does one thing: it saves your conversations so you can come back to them. From then on the text of your questions and answers is stored, linked to your account. Your email address is handled by Supabase, acting as data processor; you sign in with a one-time link sent to your inbox or with your Google account, and there is no password. Conversations are kept until you delete them, and deleting your account takes all of them with it. If you sign in with Google, Google knows you are signing in to SigPhi and gives us your email address and an identifier; we never see your Google password, and you can still sign in with the email link if you prefer.

Chat processing

To generate an answer, the question and recent conversation context are sent to the Google Gemini API. Do not enter personal, confidential, or sensitive information. Under the terms applicable in the European Economic Area, Google does not use paid-service content to improve its products, although it may retain it temporarily for up to 55 days to prevent abuse.

Metrics and retention

SigPhi keeps only aggregate technical metrics, such as latency, source counts, and whether an answer was found, for up to 30 days. From feedback, only the positive or negative vote is stored, not the question.

Reports and contact

When you voluntarily submit an issue report, its message, page, and language are stored. It is deleted when resolved and, in all cases, after 90 days. Never include keys, passwords, or sensitive data. You can use the same form to request information or deletion.
