Context and history
One of the few long Gnostic texts known before the Nag Hammadi finds: the risen Jesus teaches the disciples for eleven years, and Mary Magdalene is the one who asks the best questions. Preserved in Coptic, in a manuscript bought in London in the eighteenth century.
