Context and history
It is the first complete English translation made by a committee of Jews for Jewish readers, and the difference one notices first is the order: the Tanakh runs Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim, and does not end where the Christian Old Testament ends. Anyone looking for chapters by the numbering of a Christian Bible will meet mismatches — not errors, but two traditions of dividing the text.
